An estimated four million dollars for a rare Ford GT40 Roadster Prototype mechanism in 1965 which will be sold at sale by RM Auctions on 21 May at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. The model is one of only five cars ever built in the roadster version, design lost for 40 years and now on sale with the number of frame GT/111. This is a great value car that will fight for a rich enthusiast’s estimation that the auction house currency from 3.5 to 4.2 million dollars. The particular model has been completely renovated and has already participated in many events.

The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este will showcase some of the models of vintage cars in the world as the rarest Lamborghini Marzal of 1967, led by Prince Rainier and Princess Grace.

The Special Roadster is equipped with a V-8 engine, 4.7 liters and has an output of 444 horses, with five-speed manual ZF gearbox, disc brakes and a wheelbase of 2,400 mm.

RM Auctions has already set a record for an auction of vintage cars at the Concours d’Elegance at Amelia Island in Florida and experts are confident that the Ford GT40 Roadster Prototype Works of 1965 will rip a new record.

The history of the GT40 is particular: the car was in fact headed in 1965 the trials of 24 hours of Le Mans by Sir John Whitmore and has been certified by one of the leading models of GT40, Ronnie Spain.
